Welcome to PlateHunt

PlateHunt is the classic road trip game for finding license plates ... but on steroids.  Of course, it lets you track license plates from each of the 50 US states.  And beyond that, it includes Washington DC, all the Canadian provinces, US government plates, and diplomatic plates.  But this is where it gets crazy.  Each state produces dozens of specialty plates, including those honoring veterans, college affiliations, clubs and special causes, and various commercial and government plates.  PlateHunt lets you log those too.

Have fun with the game.  All I ask is that you not play the game while driving.  Let a passenger do the logging.  For that matter, don't text and drive, or read Facebook and drive, or basically use your smartphone while driving.

  1. Hi Ken. My wife and I have been avid license plate hunters since 2015. We appreciate your hard work on this fantastic app. Great job. I recently switched to an iPhone and tried downloading PlateHunt without success. I keep receiving an error stating “app not available in the U.S. store”. Any ideas?
Thanks again for the hours of enjoyment. We have logged 1400 plates so far. This is the best license plate app ever.

  2. What’s going on with the app? It’s not adding to the license plates total, when you find a new plate it’s highlighted in a light gray now and doesn’t show up in the total plates! How do we get support outside of a review?
